The International Student Advisors:
- provide assistance and guidance regarding immigration procedures and policies;
- serve as designated school officials authorized to issue appropriate documents; and,
- organize events and activities to assist international students in meeting other students and transitioning into the city of Seattle.

Housing
Three housing options, including school-sponsored apartments, independent housing and the Home Stay program, please refer to "Housing" on page 57 and 58 of The Art Institute of Seattle 2005-2006 catalog.
- Home Stay Program - International students interested in living with an American family may choose to participate in the Home Stay Program. Living with an American family provides a great opportunity to further experience the American culture. The Art Institute works with Home Stay providers in the Seattle area for placement. Students complete an application and pay a fee to be matched with a family that has been carefully interviewed by the Home Stay Provider. Monthly costs vary dependent on the type of Home Stay.
