The Art Institute of Seattle offers academic adjustments/auxiliary aids and support services to students with disabilities. The Disability Services Office assists qualified students with disabilities in identifying reasonable and appropriate academic adjustments/auxiliary aids and in supporting their success at The Art Institute of Seattle.

Eligibility
You may be eligible to receive academic adjustments/auxiliary aids if you have a physical, mental or sensory impairment that substantially limits one or more of your major life activities.
Qualifying for Services
- Each student eligible for academic adjustments/auxiliary aids and/or services has certain responsibilities to fulfill.
- Students who have a disability and are in need of academic adjustments/auxiliary aids should contact the Disability Services Office in order to seek assistance from the college.
- Present formal written documentation of your disability and the functional limitations resulting from it. Documentation means a report based on an evaluation that was made - usually within the last three years - by a qualified professional. Depending on your disability, professional documentation may be presented from a medical doctor, school psychologist, psychologist, psychiatrist, or other professional diagnostician. Click here for documentation guidelines, or you may obtain a copy from the Disability Services Office. In order to ensure that your desired class start date and your accommodation needs are met, please notify the Disability Services Office as early as possible.
- Make an appointment with the Director of Disability Services as soon as possible.
Available Services
